An experience with Sheila Brauning Photography is tailored to your dog/horse’s unique personality and comfort. Each one is distinctively individual, customized for your needs and expectations for your photos.
You'll receive beautiful custom wall art and albums for your home. Most clients choose to do a single large portrait on the wall or a gallery of smaller pieces on a large space and often add in an album.
Hi there, I'm Sheila.
I grew up with my nose in the story of Black Beauty, and there I found my love of horses. Childhood brought riding lessons and my very own horse! Involvement in 4-H, along with competing locally and nationally sealed the deal. I lived and breathed horses. By the time I ended my riding career, I had three World titles and numerous regional awards.
As for my love of dogs, I grew up with just one dog, but promised myself I would have at least five when I was an adult. I met my husband through our dogs! Love of four-legged friends really is a family affair.
My interest in photography began in high school, as I wanted to forever remember the horses I saw around the ring at shows. I began to realize that we have these best friends for just a snapshot of our life, and keeping actual photos of them would forever preserve the sweet memories we stored up together.
So you see, this is more than just a job; this is the accumulation of my life loves. It’s my passion.
We have owned and loved many dogs and horses over the years. I enjoy the companionship and love dogs bring to their owners. I’m also a lover of mutts and rescues, and spent time serving the Allen Animal Shelter as pet photographer and advisory board member.
When I’m not up to my elbows in furry four-legged friends, I enjoy my human family, antiquing and scrapbooking our adventures. Plus, I’m always sporting tennis shoes; I have over 30 pairs!
Interested in working together? It would give me great joy to preserve memories with you!
"Let a horse whisper in your ear and breathe on your heart.
You will never regret it."
